Roles of the TIS/TMC/Field
Services Technician
|
- Technology Integration Specialist
(TIS)
à
The TIS assists in the learning process by creating independent
technology users. The TIS enable coaches/teachers/administrators/staff
to grow and support themselves in technology use.

- Technology Maintenance Contact
(TMC)
à
The TMC will act as the single point of contact for technology
equipment
issued in a building.
|
- Field Services Technicians (FS
Tech)
à
The Field Service Technician installs, troubleshoots,
and supports IT
hardware (computers, printers, servers, etc.).
He/she will also install and
troubleshoot functionality of software. They will also test new equipment
for deployments in LCSD#1.
à
LAN/WAN technicians
install/test/support networking hardware (switches, wireless servers, etc.), maintain network uptime, and test new equipment for
deployment in
LCSD#1. àTelecomm technicians
install,
troubleshoot and support phone hardware, install and troubleshoot
functionality of phone software, and test new equipment for
deployment in LCSD#1.

Service Desk personnel serve as the
single point of contact for receiving IT support incidents. They also maintain the support incident database.
